Message from the Founder
"Africa’s digital transformation won’t be imported — we must build it together, from the ground up."
I started DigData with a single vision: to democratize access to knowledge and unlock the power of data for those who need it most. Today, far too many communities remain underserved, disconnected, and unbanked — not because they lack talent, but because they lack access.
At DigData, we are:
- Building open platforms where anyone can explore, share, and learn from real data
- Creating educational pathways to develop a new generation of digital leaders
- Supporting efforts to connect the unconnected, from rural villages to border towns
- Working to bank the unbanked, so people can access financial tools, markets, and services
- Advocating for inclusive infrastructure, where no community is left behind in the digital age
This is more than a data project — it’s a movement.
We invite researchers, developers, educators, civil society, and dreamers to join us in shaping Africa’s future through evidence, innovation, and open collaboration.
Digitisation begins with visibility. When you can see the problem, you can solve it. Let’s dig in.
With purpose and persistence,
Changkouth Mangij
